The area of integrated circuit design and system-on-chip has seen a significant growth in the Vancouver area since 2000. There are two universities (UBC and SFU) engaged in research and development in this field, along with numerous companies located in the region. The establishment of a Chapter of the Solid-State Circuit Society is of great interest to many IEEE members from these institutions.
We will be having seminars with national and international speakers, sponsor technical meetings and hold administrative meetings to promote the field to a broader audience in the region.
