Public Speaking Workshop
June 28 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Have you passed up the opportunity to speak in a group for fear you might embarrass yourself?
Does your heart stop when you have to speak in front of any group of people?
Do you have to give presentations as part of your job?
If this is you, you’re not alone. This situation is faced by many people, including business professionals, because speaking in public is a very common fear.
Our Public Speaking Workshop is a safe ground to learn, develop and train your public speaking skill.
Join seasoned journalist, Lorraine Graves of The Richmond Sentinel and Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST), and experienced distinguished Communication instructor, Katherine Golder of British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) for a session of professional self-improvement on your public speaking skills.
As we limit the class size, you will receive live training and feedback on the spot and apply them immediately. Moreover, a small work group gives you an audience to work in front of yet feeling safe within peers.
WHAT YOU WILL GAIN FROM THIS WORKSHOP:
*You will learn how to speak confidently on stage or in front of a group of people
*Our trainers will give you feedback immediately – you will be taught how to hold yourself and remain calm and what your body language is saying
