New artificial intelligent agents, such as driverless cars, disrupt our moral judgments. We present evidence from a series of robot ethics surveys revealing surprising moral judgments with a disturbing tendency: when robot agents are involved in harmful interaction, the remaining humans, often the victims, get blamed. We have extended these results to factory automation and sex robots.
