The IEEE Vancouver Section is happy to welcome the NYIT Vancouver IEEE Student Branch, which was officially formed on July 27th, 2023.

To celebrate the formation of the new IEEE Student Branch, and to welcome the new IEEE student members, a networking event and the November Executive Committee Meeting was held at NYIT on Thursday, November 9th.

Members of the IEEE Vancouver Section were joined by over 40 NYIT students for a casual evening of pizza and networking.  Also in attendance were Dr. Tokunbo Makanju, the Associate Dean of the College of Computer Science and mentor of the new student branch, and Dr. Zhida Li, the NYIT Vancouver IEEE student branch’s Counselor.
