Process underway – member support petition now open

The Okanagan Subsection, with the approval and support of the Vancouver Section executive, is applying to IEEE MGA for elevation to IEEE Section status.

The proposed elevation will affect members currently in the Okanagan Subsection, but not affect the members of Northern BC subsection or other members of the Vancouver Section.

Currently, an electronic petition is open to begin the process of subsection elevation.

Members of the Okanagan Subsection are able to electronically sign this petition in support of the elevation.  Once a minimum number of signatures in support has been obtained, the approval process will continue at Region 7 (IEEE Canada) and IEEE MGA.

Additional details regarding the proposed Okanagan upgrade to Section status are included in the online petition itself, which is visible and available to Okanagan subsection members.
