New IEEE Fellows for 2026
IEEE Fellows – Class of 2026 includes two members from BC
The IEEE has announced the Fellows Class of 2026, which includes two members from British Columbia.
The Vancouver Section congratulates the newly elevated IEEE Fellows:
Sheelagh Carpendale
Simon Fraser University, Burnaby BC Canada
for contributions to empowerment and engagement through interactive data visualization
Mohammad Hossein Zarifi
University of British Columbia Okanagan, Kelowna BC Canada
for contributions to applied electromagnetics and advanced materials for cutting-edge sensing and communication devices
The IEEE Board of Directors confers the title of IEEE Fellow upon a person of outstanding and extraordinary qualifications and experience in IEEE-designated fields, who has made important individual contributions to one or more of those fields.
