“Trust and Privacy of Social Networks” and IEEE Day Oct 6th
Trust and Privacy Vulnerabilities of Today’s Online Social Networks
Lecture and Celebration of IEEE Day to be held on Oct 6th.
The Vancouver Section invites members, guests and friends of the section to a “double event” on Oct 6th.
IEEE CS Distinguished Visitor, Dr. Yuhong Liu, will be presenting a lecture on:
“Trust and Privacy Vulnerabilities of Today’s Online Social Networks”
For additional details about the lecture please visit the Vtools page for this event: https://bit.ly/4gWnTEz
The IEEE Vancouver Section will also hold a celebration of IEEE Day as part of this special event.
IEEE Day is not only celebrated by the Vancouver Section but is a global event.
The global theme for IEEE Day this year is “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.”
Every year, members and friends of the Vancouver Section gather to celebrate the founding of the IEEE and everything it represents.
IEEE Day provides an opportunity to reflect on the significance of the IEEE, the contributions of past volunteers and look ahead to the future of the IEEE. It commemorates the IEEE’s founding, when engineers gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884. This year’s IEEE Day marks the 140th anniversary of the IEEE.
The Vancouver Section, founded in 1911, also takes the opportunity to celebrate its own anniversary during this event. This year marks the 113th anniversary of the Vancouver Section.
We look forward to welcoming our members and friends of the Vancouver Section at our special IEEE Day event on October 6th.
