IEEE Day is taking place this year on October 6, 2020 and the IEEE Vancouver Section would like to invite our IEEE Student members to participate in our

IEEE Day 2020 Student Member Facebook Photo Contest!

Participating is easy! Just follow the steps below for a chance to win one of three $20 gift cards:

1) Upload a Photo of a memorable IEEE event that you attended (or a photo of your IEEE Day Celebration), to Facebook

2) Give us a brief description of your memory and/or tell us what IEEE means to you!

3) tag @ieeevan in your post, and use the hashtag #IEEEDay and #IEEEDayVancouver

4) Note: Your post will need to be set to “Public” for us to see it

Deadline for submission is 11:59pm on October 6, 2020. Winners will be contacted via Facebook.

What is IEEE Day? IEEE Day is celebrating the first time in history when engineers worldwide and IEEE members gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884. Worldwide celebrations demonstrate the ways thousands of IEEE members in local communities join together to collaborate on ideas that leverage technology for a better tomorrow.

Date: IEEE Day is celebrated globally, on the first Tuesday of October. Accordingly, IEEE Day will be celebrated on Tuesday 6 October 2020.
