IEEE Vancouver Section – Call for Volunteers
Vancouver Section Welcomes New Volunteers
The IEEE Vancouver Section is currently looking for committee and event volunteers. The continued success of the IEEE Vancouver Section is largely due to an active membership willing to volunteer their time and expertise to the betterment of the section.
If you’re interested, please fill out our volunteer application form and we will follow up with you. If you’re unsure about what role you may be interested in, either include the note in the application form or contact the Vancouver Section Chair.
What do we as volunteers receive in return? Here are some of the benefits of volunteering:
- Satisfaction from contributing to our profession and society, and potentially driving change
- Working and socializing with interesting and caring professionals
- Developing or honing networking and/or management skills
- Making personal contacts with leaders and those on the rise in our industry
- Being recognized as a volunteer by your peers
For a list of IEEE Vancouver Section Committees, please see the extended list of the Vancouver Section executive, or the IEEE Vancouver Section Bylaw Addendum.
NOTE in addition to the volunteer positions at the Vancouver Section level, there also many exciting volunteer opportunities in our technical chapters, Affinity Groups, and sub-sections! If you have an interest in serving in those positions, please mention them in the application form, and we will put you in touch with the appropriate leader. Or, you may contact the appropriate leader directly.
Thank you for your interest in the IEEE and the Vancouver Section!
