AI and Cybersecurity Workshop

This workshop is organized by the KPU Computer Science and Information Technology Department in collaboration with the IEEE Vancouver Joint Computer Society. The AI and Cybersecurity workshop will take place on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at KPU’s Surrey Campus, Cedar 2110, Surrey, British Columbia. This session brings together IT professionals, faculty members, students, and members of the public who are interested in understanding how artificial intelligence is reshaping cybersecurity. The workshop will explore the opportunities and challenges of AI driven security, including ethical considerations, responsible use of AI, and emerging risk factors that affect individuals, organizations, and society. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, engage in discussion, and gain a clearer understanding of how AI and cybersecurity intersect in practice. This event is ideal for anyone who wants to stay informed, think critically about the ethical dimensions of AI, and learn directly from industry experience in a rapidly evolving field.
