Powerhouse at Stave Falls tour organized by SFU IEEE Branch

The IEEE SFU Student Branch has organized tour to the former powerhouse facility and National Historic Site of Canada. Only 20 registration spots are available. Please register by March 12th at 12:00pm to secure a spot. About Stave falls Powerhouse: A 100 year old powerhouse and enjoy the historical displays, electricity demonstrations and many interactive exhibits. This former generating facility is also a National Historic Site of Canada filled with archival photos, artifacts and the original mechanical and electrical components which helped power the province. Health and Safety information for Visitors – Masks are welcome but not mandatory. – Hand sanitizer is available throughout the Visitor Centre. – Maintain social distance from other groups and Tour Guides. – If you are exhibiting any symptoms of illness or feeling sick, you’ll be asked to leave and visit another day. – Please follow all signage and the direction of our helpful Tour Guides. These guidelines are subject to change without notice. Our tour – Our tour is typically 1 ½ to 2 hours in length, including a short film, interactive exhibits, an electricity demonstration, and a guided tour of the Visitor Centre. – For the electricity demonstration, please inform your Tour Guide if anyone in your party has a biomedical device, hearing aid, insulin pump or pacemaker – this is for their safety. Also, please let us know about any additional information to be aware of.
