Abstract:

CMC Microsystems is a not-for-profit created in 1984 to support research in advanced technologies including microelectronics, photonics, MEMS, AI/ML, IoT, and quantum. The services CMC offers include CAD (access to state-of-the-art tools in our private cloud), FAB (commercial fabrication with subsidies for subscribers) and LAB (assistance for testing and development of microsystems).

In 2020, CMC launched support for quantum computing including access to the IBM Quantum Hub in Sherbrooke, as well as Xanadu, IonQ, and D-Wave. CMC assists in quantum training through Quantum BC and QSciTech and in 2021, launched the world’s first superconducting design and fabrication workshop.
