New IEEE Fellows Named

IEEE Fellows – Class of 2023

The IEEE has announced the Fellows Class of 2023, which includes four members of the IEEE Vancouver Section.

The Vancouver Section congratulates its newly elevated IEEE Fellows:

Julian Z Cheng

for contributions to mathematical modeling of wireless systems and energy-efficient resource management of wireless networks

Karon Maclean
University of British Columbia Vancouver BC Canada
for contributions to the design of haptic communication

Tamara Munzner
University of British Columbia Vancouver BC Canada
for contributions to principles, processes, and design for visualization

Vesna Sossi
University of British Columbia Vancouver BC Canada
for contributions to quantitative and translational brain PET imaging

 

The IEEE Board of Directors confers the title of IEEE Fellow upon a person of outstanding and extraordinary qualifications and experience in IEEE-designated fields, who has made important individual contributions to one or more of those fields.
