IEEE Day Keynote Speaker on Oct. 3rd will be Dr. Mazana Armstrong

The Vancouver Section is pleased to announce that Dr. Mazana Armstrong will be the keynote speaker for our IEEE Day celebration to be held on Oct. 3rd, 2023.

Dr. Armstrong was Vancouver Section Chair during the Section’s Centennial year, 2011.  She initiated and Chaired the Section Centennial Committee which organized numerous events related to the Centennial Anniversary.

Dr. Armstrong and the Centennial Committee oversaw the planning, design, and installation of the Vancouver Section Centennial Monument, which was officially unveiled on Sept 28, 2013.

Dr. Armstrong’s presentation will focus on the history of the Vancouver Section Monument, its unique design and its artist creator.

IEEE Day will be celebrated globally by IEEE on Oct. 3rd, but the Vancouver Section celebrations will be held locally at the Creekside Community Centre in Vancouver.  Celebrations here will include networking, presentations, and light refreshments.  And to top off the event, members and guests will make a short walk to visit the Vancouver Section Centennial Monument!
