The IEEE Vancouver Section is pleased to welcome Carl Zanon as our new Chair for the Life Member Affinity Group. Mr. Zanon’s acting appointment was approved at the Section’s executive meeting on November 6th.

Mr. Zanon is a member of the UBC class of 1959 which recently held a special class reunion, supported in part by the Vancouver Section. Mr. Zanon has a lengthy and accomplished career in electrical engineering. His most recent contributions include teaching a Situational Leadership series at Okanagan College, consulting for the Business Development Bank of Canada to help companies improve operational efficiency, and working in several different managerial roles for a variety of companies including Western Star Trucks Inc. and the International Benchmarking Institute in Calgary.

All interested Life Members are encouraged to contact Mr. Zanon at carlzanon@ieee.org to get involved with the LM group. Volunteers and ideas are all welcome.
