2018 IEEE YP Pacific Northwest Leadership Summit

On behalf of IEEE, the trusted “voice” for engineering, computing, and technology information around the globe, invites you to this year’s Pacific Northwest Leadership Summit happening on August 3rd to 5th at the Hotel Element Vancouver Metrotown.

The IEEE Young Professionals is an international community of innovative members and volunteers. Members of this community are interested in elevating their professional image, expanding their global network, connecting with peers locally and giving back to the community. Likewise, the IEEE Women in Engineering is one of the largest international professional organizations dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests in a career in engineering.

Born from the initiative of three leading young professionals from IEEE Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver sections, the 2018 IEEE Young Professionals Pacific Northwestern Leadership Summit aims to provide a 1-Day event where young professionals assemble to expand boarders and foster growth with relevant activities and discussions to: Inspire, Enable, Empower, and Engage YPs. For this edition, the team is proud to have onboard IEEE Victoria Young Professionals Affinity Group and to be sponsored & supported by IEEE Canada (IEEE R7).

Moreover, the Young Professionals Affinity Groups from IEEE Seattle, Portland and Vancouver Sections, are looking forward to expanding the reach out of this initiative by extending the invitation to all Pacific Northwestern Sections to attend the event, and/or to get involved in the organization and content development of this transcendent conference.

The three pillars of the 2018 PNW YP Conference are:

  • Professional Development
  • Continuing Education
  • Mentoring
