2018 IEEE YP Pacific Northwest Leadership Summit

IEEE, the trusted “voice” for engineering, computing, and technology information around the globe, and IEEE Vancouver Section successfully hosted the 2018 IEEE Young Professionals Pacific Northwest Leadership Summit (IYPPNWLS) from August 3rd to 5th at the Hotel Element Vancouver Metrotown.

 

This was the second edition of an event that assembles young professionals, undergraduate, and graduate students interested in elevating their professional image, expanding their global network, connecting with peers locally and giving back to the community. For this edition, the team was proud to have onboard IEEE Victoria Young Professionals Affinity Group and to be sponsored and supported by IEEE Canada (IEEE R7).

 

Born from the initiative of three leading young professionals from IEEE Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver sections, the 2018 IEEE Young Professionals Pacific Northwestern Leadership Summit brought together academia representatives, IEEE directors, and mid-career young professionals from leading companies (Schneider Electric, SAP, and SNC-Lavalin) whose talks Inspired, Enabled, Empowered, and Engaged an audience of 40+ YPs.  The three pillars of the Summit were:
