Two BCIT student members awarded PES Scholarships

IEEE Vancouver Section is pleased to announce…

The IEEE Power & Energy Society (IEEE PES) has awarded PES Scholarships to two IEEE student members of the Vancouver Section:

Clinton Gaudet   (BCIT 2023)

Conor Hyra-Woodman   (BCIT 2025)

Overall, seventy five (75) PES Scholarship recipients were selected this year.

The goal of the IEEE PES Scholarship Plus Initiative is to encourage undergraduate students to pursue careers in power and energy engineering.

For qualifying students, the program not only provides scholarships and facilitates internships/co-op experience, but also offers many opportunities to gain experience and build knowledge in power and energy engineering careers, including mentoring opportunities and special recognition as a PES Scholar.

These undergraduate students are majoring in electrical engineering, are high achievers with strong GPAs with distinctive extracurricular commitments and are committed to exploring the power and energy field. These scholarships are made possible due to the generous donations of individuals and corporations to the IEEE Power & Energy Society Scholarship Fund of the IEEE Canadian Foundation.
