IEEExtreme programming competition – register soon!
24 Hour Programming Competition for IEEE Student members
The 20th edition of the annual IEEExtreme programming competition will be held on Oct. 31st, 2026.
IEEEXtreme is a worldwide computer coding competition open exclusively to IEEE Student Members. Last year, 40 teams from across Canada, and over 8,000 teams globally entered the competition.
The challenging competition, which consists of several programming problems or “tasks”, runs over the course of one 24 hour period.
In most cases, the students educational institutions provide assistance to their students who wish to enter the competition, such as a venue, a proctor, and coaches. Your IEEE Student Branch Counselor or IEEE Student Branch Chair can help to facilitate these preparations.
The Vancouver Section encourages all student members to enter the next edition of the competition in 2026.
Please note students must form teams and register prior to the competition.
