Systems Engineering Symposium planned For Okanagan

IEEE Systems Council Chapter Symposium (SCCS 2026) to be held Dec 9-10

The IEEE Systems Council Chapter of the Thompson Okanagan Section is holding a symposium on Systems Engineering.  The symposium is intended to be of interest to systems engineering practitioners and researchers.  Membership in the IEEE Systems Council is not required in order to participate.

The Systems Council brings together IEEE’s expertise across multiple disciplines and specialty areas, including but not limited to:

  • Systems engineering education, standards, and methodologies
  • Modelling, simulation, integration, and system resilience
  • Robust design, safety, human factors, usability, and environmental considerations
  • Security and assurance (Quality, Mission, Risk)
  • Requirements development and management
  • Systems architecture and systems-of-systems
  • Product lifecycle transitions: design, production, testing, deployment, and disposal
  • Program and project management

The symposium features peer-style research presentations, technical sessions, and networking opportunities focused on intelligent systems, embedded systems, data-driven technologies, and high-performance computing. TOK-SCCS provides an accessible and supportive platform for emerging researchers and students to present their work in a professional setting.
