Vancouver Section Chapter Chair Vincent Wong recognized by EIC

Professor Vincent Wong of the University of British Columbia has been named as a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada, to be inducted at the upcoming EIC Gala in April.

The Engineering Institute of Canada is a Federation of 14 Canadian Engineering Societies, including IEEE Canada.

The EIC bestows the title of Fellow to individuals “For excellence in engineering and services to the profession and society”.

Dr. Wong is currently a Professor at The University of British Columbia.  He was formerly the Chair of the IEEE Vancouver Joint Communications Chapter and has served as the Chair of the IEEE Communications Society Emerging Technical Subcommittee on Smart Grid Communications. Dr. Wong is a Fellow of the IEEE.

The Vancouver Section congratulates Professor Wong on this well deserved recognition.
