Section Scholarship Award Recipients Honoured at AGM

The Vancouver Section announced and honoured the recipients of the 2024 Vancouver Section Scholarship awards at the recent Vancouver Section AGM & Gala, held on March 30, 2024.

Vancouver Section Scholarship Committee reviewed all applications and made the final selection of award recipients for 2024.  The Vancouver Section Scholarship Committee consisted of Mandeep Pannu, Guillaume Boisset, and Octavio Ciraiz.

Vancouver Section 2024 Scholarship Award Recipients

• John S. MacDonald Scholarship Award – Stephanie Quon (UBC Vancouver)
• John Deane Scholarship Award – Genliang (Kenneth) Zhu (NYIT)
• Hector J. MacLeod Scholarship Award – Josue Gourde (UFV)
• Thurb Cushing Scholarship Award – Braden Vanderwoerd (BCIT)

About the Vancouver Section Scholarships

The Vancouver Section Student Scholarship Awards are named in honour of outstanding Vancouver Section members.  The Vancouver Section Scholarships are permanent, funded by donations and held within a separate trust account, administered on behalf of the Section by the IEEE Canadian Foundation.
