IEEE Day Celebration

Every year in early October, members and friends of the Vancouver Section gather to celebrate the founding of the IEEE and everything it represents. A typical celebration includes dinner, presentations from long-time IEEE volunteers, and networking with other professionals from various engineering backgrounds. IEEE Day is an opportunity to reflect on the contributions of past volunteers and look ahead to the future of the IEEE.

IEEE Day is not just celebrated by the Vancouver Section – it is a global event. In keeping with the global scope of IEEE Day, the Vancouver Section often includes other nearby sections in the celebration via webcast. To join in on the celebration, look for an email, social media, or website announcement with registration information in early September.

Please see the detailed reports for previous IEEE Day Celebrations in the navigation menu. For more information about the global scope and activities of IEEE Day, please visit the primary IEEE Day web site at ieeeday.org.
