Student Scholarships: Applications Due March 11

Each year the IEEE Vancouver Section awards
several student scholarships. This year marks the introduction of the fourth award in honour of John S. MacDonald, bringing the total available awards to $6,000. The Vancouver Section of the IEEE will award up to four $1,500 scholarships to students who best meet the objectives of the Scholarship Awards in 2022.

The award competition is open to undergraduate and graduate IEEE student members within the Vancouver Section’s geographic area (province of BC, excluding Vancouver Island). The deadline for sending the application has been
extended by one week to Friday, March 11th 2022 at 11:59 pm. For more information, including award objectives and instructions on how to apply, please review the

Vancouver Section AGM March 30th

The 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the IEEE Vancouver Section will be held online on the evening of Wednesday March 30, beginning at 7:00 PM. The meeting will cover several business items such as the auditor’s report, and the announcement of section scholarship award recipients.

Due to current COVID concerns and limitations, the AGM will be held online once again. Though we will not be able to enjoy a full in-person “gala” event, we are planning an interesting and interactive event for our members and friends – an outstanding keynote speaker and the opportunity to network with your friends and colleagues!
